XQ Cyber is a digital company with a mission to “make our customers’ digital lives better by helping them to mitigate technology risk, to innovate faster and to thrive in the information age”. XQ Cyber achieved certification to ISO 9001:2015 in January 2018 with the assistance of ValeQMS but had concerns over the readiness of the quality management system for the planned surveillance audit by ACS in January 2019.

Project Description:

HKW Risk Management was called in to carry out the following activities:

• Operational internal audit covering the Consultancy and CyberScore services,
• Management internal audit covering all of the management clauses of ISO 9001:2015 including, context, leadership, risk, performance management and improvement,
• Management review meeting,
• Preparation for the surveillance audit including walk through of the audit plan and review of all outstanding corrective actions.

Once these activities had been completed, the senior management team felt far more confident in the quality management system and more prepared for the surveillance audit. Following this external audit, Co-founder and Director of XQ Cyber declared himself “delighted with how it went”.
