HKW Risk Management Ltd is one year old today!

Just over a year ago today, a close friend asked me for some H&S advice and a week later I had set up a limited company and what has been an exhilarating, nerve wracking, exhausting, occasionally terrifying and fascinating year began.

I have met some amazing people, visited new places and have learnt about industries that I never knew existed. I feel hugely positive about the talent, expertise and ability of British businesses and more than ever, I am committed to helping businesses integrate their management systems with their core business purpose. On a slightly more negative side, I have seen examples of ‘cut and paste’ management systems dropped into a company seemingly from a great height with no consideration of the company culture, language or purpose. This has led to a separate ‘management system folder’ which nobody understands, uses or cares about – your management system can (and should) do so much more for your business than this! Overall, after working for other companies for 14 years, I can say with more confidence than ever that I love what I do. So - thank you to my husband and family for all the support you have given me, thank you to my slowly growing network of fellow consultants and interesting people (you know who you are!) and thank you to my clients.
