I'm now a CQI Practitioner!

The CQI is the chartered body for quality professionals and was established in 1919 as the Institute of Quality Assurance, then gained a Royal Charter in 2006 and became the CQI shortly afterwards in January 2007. The mission of the CQI is “A world in which all organisations optimise value for their stakeholders through excellence in governance, assurance and improvement”

I became an Affiliate member of the CQI in 2014 when I started to become more involved in quality management systems, having achieved a minimum 2 years of experience and attended 30 hours of formal training (made up of my ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 auditing courses) I have been successfully regraded to Practitioner. By joining the CQI I have to record Continual Professional Development activities as well as follow the Code of Conduct. My ultimate aim is to gain Chartered Member status and I’m putting together a plan to achieve this in the next 3 – 5yrs.

I have also started to get involved with the CQI by becoming a member of the committee for the Avon Branch, we hold branch meetings at BAWA (Southmead) on the second Wednesday of every other month – join our Linked in page to find out about our forthcoming events.
