I offer a free, no obligation meeting either face to face at your site or by phone depending on your availability and location – once I have got an understanding of your business and your management system requirements, I can put together a bespoke proposal for any implementation, improvement or integration project your business may need. Please contact me if you would like to arrange an initial visit or phone call.
Once you have decided to proceed with the project and we have agreed a timeframe, I will attend your site during the project and carry out additional work off site as required.
I will communicate regularly with you after each site visit and during the project so you are fully aware of what actions are being completed and overall progress of the project against the original proposal.
At the end of the project, I will hand over all documentation and records relating to the project and we will have a final review meeting to check that the original proposal has been met and you are happy.
I always work to recognised ISO or HSE (such as HSG65) standards to implement management systems whether you wish to achieve 3rd party certification or not. If you and your business need 3rd party certification, I will work with you to find the most suitable UKAS accredited body for the scope of your management system and context of your business. Please note, I do not have any association with any certification body so we will choose one that best adds value to your business.
My risk management services
Please click on the sections below to find out more about how I work.
Perhaps your business has expanded and needs a more supportive structure, maybe your clients are requesting that you demonstrate a formal management system, maybe you need to promote behavioural change to get to where you want to be.
I can help by carrying out a gap analysis of your existing business practices including any documentation, processes and procedures and I will compare these to the requirements of the relevant standards identifying any gaps along the way. This gap analysis process involves talking to people at all levels of your business, observing working practices, checking records and documentation and gaining a thorough understanding of what you do and what you want to achieve.
I will put together a project plan and follow this through to completion within the agreed time frame. During the implementation project I will brief your senior management team about their responsibilities. Where required I will work with them to identify the operational context of the business as well as to understand and promote the process approach and risk based thinking through the management system as well as promoting improvement across the business.
Perhaps you already have two or more management systems in different disciplines and want to integrate them to increase efficiency, perhaps you want to take advantage of the new Annex SL high level structure of the new 2015 standards to review your existing management systems and improve them.
I can help you by carrying out a gap analysis and identifying areas which can be integrated, if required I will help you carry out a risk assessment to make sure that any changes will not increase the risk to your business or to the integrity of the management system during the process. I will then work with the relevant people at all levels of your business to carry out a smooth integration process. At the end of the project, I will carry out an internal audit to check that the management system remains robust and effective and that the integration has been successful.
Perhaps there has been an incident or a customer complaint, perhaps you want to tender for more work, perhaps you want to improve your business structures to support your plan for world domination…
I can help by working with you to identify areas across your business which need improvement, I will then work with relevant people at all levels of your business to design and implement the actions required.
If you have already got certification to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, you will be aware that you have got until Sept 2018 to transition to the new 2015 standards or risk losing your certification. Perhaps you would like to transition in time for your next surveillance visit or to co-ordinate with your standard 3yrly certification audit.
I can brief you and your senior management team on the new requirements of the 2015 standards including context and leadership. I will then carry out a review of any existing documentation and/or working practices to identify any gaps in meeting the requirements of the new standards and make recommendations to fill them. I can then work with relevant people at all levels of your business to complete any actions required. At the end of the transition process and prior to your third party audit, I will carry out an internal audit of the entire management system and assist you to carry out a full management review to check that everything is in place and working effectively.
I can offer ongoing support packages to maintain and improve your management system, either one I have worked with you to implement or an existing one. I can offer the following to support:
- Your internal auditing function – perhaps you don’t have the time or in house expertise available, or perhaps you’d prefer an independent view of your management systems, I can carry out your internal auditing for you to an agreed plan which supports the strategic direction of your business
- Your management reviews – I can help you to carry out more efficient management reviews which have a real impact on the confidence you feel in your management system
- Your certification body audits – I can support you through your certification body audits, either through the initial certification process or during your annual surveillance audits
