ISO 9001:2015

Just wanted to say “thank you” for your help over the last two visits.  I understand the criticality of ISO certification to this part of the business but it takes me away form a lot of other business critical issues which is why I may have looked a little overwhelmed on Thursday.  Its fair to say the process could have been a lot more onerous were it not for your guidance and assistance. David was a great help and honestly, the whole process would have been a lot more stressful without his guidance and advice.

As the new Business Development Manager at Mawdsleys, I was really worried about the forthcoming re-certification audit. I didn't feel confident in the documentation or records I could find and although the shopfloor was operating well and delivering motors on time and to spec, the quality management system didn't seem to match what was going on. Helen was able to brief me on the requirements of ISO 9001 and explain how our processes and records fitted in, she was also able to help me re-organise everything in a way that made sense to us all! Ewan used his engineering experience to carry out thorough internal audits of our main income streams (Defence, Commercial and M&E Services) and identified various problems and opportunities for improvement which we were able to put right. I had no idea what to expect from the remote re-certification audit and was very relieved that it went so smoothly (apart from the inevitable technology difficulties!) and the auditor only raised one OFI which we are very pleased with. 

Helen from HKW RM really helped me to pull together the core attributes of our QMS, which can be difficult for a sole consultancy business. As is the issue with many similar enterprises, demonstration of quality is essential, but developing the ability to have quality independently verified under an international quality management scheme like ISO 9001:2015 really does need the support of an expert such as Helen. One of the things that impressed me about the working process with HKW RM was the speed by which my key business attributes were recognised, understood and more importantly aligned with the needs of the standard. As a result, what was initially a daunting task became a breeze. No hesitation in making a recommendation from me.

Helen proved instrumental in our transition to ISO9001:2015. FTi have held certification since 1994 and this latest iteration has helped focus the Senior Management Team to communicating business values throughout the organisation. A commitment to continuous improvement has been embraced by the business and already the benefits are being realised

It was a pleasure to work with Helen on our transition project. Helen’s advice, guidance and her ability to quickly understand our business and challenges has resulted in our numerous and mostly irrelevant documents (provided by a previous QMS company) being completely revised in line with the new 2015 standards. We now have a Quality and Environmental Management system that is easy to understand, relevant to our business and is firmly embedded within our day to day operations. Thank you Helen.
