Burges Salmon is a market-leading independent law firm with offices in Bristol, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Having supported them with an ISO 14001 transition project to the 2015 requirements in 2019, I was then asked to support the in-house Environmental Delivery Team by providing internal auditing services. Burges Salmon has 4 locations, with the Head Office in Bristol and other offices in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, all of these need an evaluation of compliance checklist completing every year to ensure that environmental impacts are being monitored and managed. We have made improvements to the Compliance Checklist process and template, but they remain in depth reviews across a range of topics from electricity consumption to waste management to leadership to employee involvement, so they take some time to complete! I also provide support to make sure that the annual certification body audits go smoothly.
