I worked with Acoustic Polymers Ltd on behalf of ConsultQA to transition the existing ISO 9001:2008 quality management system to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

APL needed to maintain their certification as some of their specialist products are designed, developed and manufactured for the MoD and holding ISO 9001 certification is a pre-requisite for being part of the MoD supply chain.

APL had purchased an ‘off the shelf’ quality management system and had gained certification to ISO 9001:2008 in 2011. One of the main objectives of the transition project was to simplify the system – we managed to reduce over 500 documents to just over 50, all of which were tailored to APL needs and much easier to integrate into the actual operations of the business.

APL gained certification to ISO 9001:2015 having passed their transition visit from ACS Registrars and we were really pleased to receive the following feedback from the Managing Director:
